If you're in Stirling, you must do the castle - amazing views. And make sure to hike to the top of the Wallace Monument - a freaking lot of stairs but well worth it (and don't take anything that will blow away easily). If you get a chance, Culzean Castle on the southeast coast is amazing (built on a cliff that overlooks the Irish Sea) but it looks like you'll be around the Highlands a bit more. Pitlochry in Perthshire is pretty, so that's an option. And if you like Heathergems the factory's there. I could go on forever but I'll restrain myself here. Shoot me an e-mail if you want other suggestions or tips from native tour guides (my relatives are awesome!)!
