This is just stupid
I have a very real concern about the direction the political climate of this country has been heading. Honestly, I think George Bush has a lot in common with Grand Moff Tarkin. I can just picture a future cabinet meeting after republican goals of small government are acheived

Grand Moff Bush: Fear will keep the local states in line. Fear of terrorism.
Thus far, his presidency has been run that has been driven by creating and using fear, but that isn't what really concerns me. What really concerns me is how much the Christian church has thrown itself in with the GOP. I am fully concvinced that Jesus is not a republican (or a democrat for that matter), so it is stupid when stuff like this happens. A pastor in North Carolina had a formal church meeting to have the people who did not support President Bush in his church removed! Stupid!

Heard that story from NC on the news this morning...amazing! We should all be concerned. Perhaps if we could get the tax-exempt status of churches like that revoked it would send a message. Unfortunately, nobody's willing to write that note...
