because I find this picture more smurfing funny than horrifying:
This just is not some perverse work of fan art,but an actual Belgium magazine ad. Apperently there is also a 90 Second comercial that goes with it, where it depicts a graphic and near genocidal attack on the smurf village. The ads are made by UNICEF to try and increase their fundraising for African war relief. The point of using the smurfs is to show that acts of war can happen anywhere and effect the most innocent people. I think it is brilliant advertising, and I bet it is just a matter of time until this picture ends up on the Internet with the word OWNED! splashed acrossed it (though it would be more clever if someone put SMURFED!)
