One last Hurrah!
If you have been reading this blog for a while then you know that I do a lot of gaming with my brother. Sadly, in two weeks he is moving to Colorado for graduate school. We will still be able to play Battlefront 2 online, but that is not the same as being in the same room as someone. Last night we got in what will probably be our last major game session before he leaves, and naturally we had to use 360. I even got a second controller for the occasion. We started off by playing Perfect Dar Zero.
Splitscreen multiplayer is totally how that game was designed to be played. It was my first time to play the Darkops game modes and those were really cool. I have only played two levels of the single player and I can tell it is farily ho-hum, but I think I will be playing this game alot online or by myself against bots.
After a few hours of Perfect Dark we switiched over to Table Tennis and he beat me, because it is technically a sports game, and he always beats me at sports games. Then we played Full Auto, and I won all of those.
Then we closed out the night with Call of Duty 2. Sadly Call of Duty 2 does not support bots or splitscreen online multiplayer, so we did what we could and had 1 on 1 sniper matches.
Which turned out to be a brilliant idea! Most of the maps are perfectly designed for sniper matches. There were lots of intense moments where we played cat and mouse, and then there were other moments where we would inadverntly end up standing next to each scanning the horizon with our scope and then have a panicked pisto shoot out when we realized we were so close. Needless to say it was a lot of fun. It is a shame that such gaming exploits will now only happen around the Brickyard 400 and Christmas each year.
In a random but semi-related note, my X-box has it's very own blog
